At 100 calories and 7.5 grams protein per scone, the only thing I require in life besides these doughy pillows of goodness is a strong cup of coffee.....and maybe a nap.
Like I mentioned in a previous scone post (cinnamon flax...mmm), I have to admit that I use the term "scone" fairly loosely. This might be more of a biscuit? I don't know. All I know is that it tastes good, and therefore I need to provide the world with the recipe. You're welcome, world.
If you think that gingerbread is more of Christmas-y flavor, then you're WRONG. ICYMI: they sell cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, & cloves all year-round. I made my own gingerbread spice mix using THIS recipe, but I'm sure you could also find a pre-made mix (that they might not sell year-round). As far as I'm concerned, if it's cold out, then gingerbread and all those delicious warming spices still apply.
Side note: If you're looking for a good snack to have around workout, these would be your answer. Mostly carbs, moderate protein, and low in fat. Check out the nutritional information below for the full deets. If you have more questions, comment below!
