FAQ
Why schedule a nutrition appointment if I can go online or buy a book?
In this day and age, you may spend hours wading through a cacophony of nutrition information. And, being able to find information from reliable sources that fits your individual needs is near impossible. Nutrition recommendations are made for the average individual, but you are not the average individual! Nobody is. At ViTL Nutrition we work with you to develop a clear understanding of your individual needs in order to develop a personalized nutrition plan that meets your established goals.
What should I expect for my first nutrition appointment?
We develop a clear picture of your nutrient and activity needs from an extensive health and nutrition history intake. Then, we transform your needs into achievable lifestyle recommendations based on short- and long-term goals that we work with you to set. At ViTL Nutrition & Fitness, we believe education is fundamental to integrating dietary change into your lifestyle; we are committed to developing your understanding of everything food- and nutrition-related. The result is an individualized nutrition plan, including recommendations for follow-up appointments and referrals.
Don't forget to check out our philosophy and patient model in the "about us" section to see how we do it a little better here at ViTL Nutrition!
How should I prepare for my first nutrition appointment?
Please complete and bring the First Nutrition Appointment forms emailed to you when you schedule an appointment. If you do not, we will have to spend the first few minutes of your appointment completing those forms. Showing up five to ten minutes early will ensure enough time to review all forms and start on time. Bringing in any relevant medical charts or recent lab-work can greatly support the intake process.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. However, if you would like to independently file for reimbursement with your insurance company, we can provide a superbill upon request. Your insurance company may reimburse you in full, in partial, or not at all. Please let us know ahead of time if you would like a superbill because there are documents you will need to complete and bring with you to your appointment.
What is your payment policy?
We operate on a fee-for-service model. All payments are due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, money order, and credit/debit cards. Other payment plans are available upon request.
